Well, most likely, your answer is YES! I know I have done that plenty of times! As good as my intentions are, sometimes I just forget!<br />

I have always loved laying out in the sun and getting a good tan. While I have been way more careful over the years to apply sun screen or maybe not be out quite as long, the sun damage (while not always noticeable) is there anyway! <br />

In October of 2015, I was introduced to this amazing little regimen from Rodan + Fields, called Reverse! Honestly, I really didn't know I needed it (or that my skin would even respond to it). I didn't think of myself having "bad skin". I did notice it did have some uneven tone, dullness and maybe a few brownish spots. So...I decided it was time to do something for my skin! <br />

My first experience with Reverse and washing my skin, I noticed that it felt SO soft and I was really surprised as to how it felt! After 30 days, I was already seeing a difference in the way my skin looked (and felt)! I was AMAZED!! <br />

My skin was brighter, softer/smoother, had fewer brown spots and looked more even-toned! Just after 30 days!! So, I continued using it to see what it could do through the next 30 days! I've now started my 2nd round of Hammer and Chisel and I'm now on week 4 of my second round. The first round I finished with results that I was proud of, they weren't stellar, but neither was my complete consistency in my nutrition (I know this makes a HUGE difference in results). However I will share with you that this program has done THE MOST for reshaping my body and I fully believe that it's because it's more lifting weights than I've done before!<br />

My first round of the 60 day program, I lost about 2.5 lbs and 4 inches. Now...this is not over the top results. BUT...the biggest difference is the SHAPE of my body, the way my clothes fit, my BUTT is finally becoming lifted (seriously, that's a pretty sweet thing!), and I'm definitely more confident in my clothes and bathing suit! <br />

So...let me repeat! This is <b>THE BEST</b> program that I've found that will <b>LIFT YOUR BUTT!</b>! And no...you don't have to be 20 for this to happen. I'm 35 years old and have seen such a difference in that area!! Hands down, my favorite program for toning your backside!<br />

SO...starting the 2nd round of Hammer and Chisel, my goal is to increase my weights and really push myself. Now, I'll be the first to admit that my consistency in this program has come from my workouts...honestly, my nutrition has NOT been as consistent while on this program (one reason I'm finally doing an update here...to keep me accountable). Even in the first 3 weeks of my 2nd round I've not been as consistent in following a meal plan for the program! <br />

<li>1 zucchini, chopped</li>
<li>1-2 tsp fresh lime juice</li>
<li>2 T Chili Powder</li>
<li>1 tsp Oregano</li>
<li>½ tsp Thyme</li>
<li>2 tsp cumin (optional)</li>
<li>1/3 cup Cilantro, chopped</li>
<li>1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese</li>
<li>1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce (low sodium)</li>

<li>Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9X13 baking dish with EVOO, set aside.</li>
<li>Sauté the onion, garlic and peppers medium-high heat for 1 minute.</li>
<li>Add ground turkey and green chilies and allow meat to brown. Cook until meat has no pink.</li>
<li>Add seasonings and lime juice, stir to combine. </li>
<li>Remove from heat - add rice, tomato sauce, 1/4 cup of cheese to the skillet and stir.</li>
<li>Pour mixture into 9x13 dish. Add remaining cheese.</li>
<li>Cover with foil & bake for 20 minutes.</li>
<li>Remove foil & bake an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted/bubbling. Remove from oven & let cool for 5-10 minutes.</li>

Just yesterday we were sitting down for a weekend family breakfast. Our vitamins were out on the table and we had just run out of the kid "chewable" vitamins. My daughter was getting over being sick, and my hubby and I thought this was the perfect time for our kids to "learn how to swallow pills", (mind you, they are 8, 11, 12...the time is right!).<br />
<br />
So, my husband said, "ok kids, we're out of the kids vitamins so it's time you learn". Moans and groans and complaints started flying out of the kids' mouths. I could see some giant tears getting ready to form in my youngest's eyes with the thought that he'd have to "swallow" something!<br />
<br />
Now, our vitamins aren't "sugar coated" and are fully natural and organic so they don't taste good if they stay in your mouth for longer than it takes to chug some water down! We warned them of this, so told them it must be quick!<br />
<br />
"Ok, here's what you'r going to do...put the vitamin in the back of your mouth on your tongue, then take a huge drink of water and keep drinking." my husband said. <br />
<br />
Well, my little guy just froze. My oldest decided he was going to be the pro and "show up" his siblings, and with one gulp...he was done (and letting us all know about it too!). My daughter, well, not to be outdone by her brother decided to try. We reminded her to drink quickly! <br />
<br />
In went the vitamin, the water started to go down the hatch...and suddenly, she stopped. Then came the faces of complete disgust, moved onto the gagging and "fake" throwing up motion (not dramatic in the slightest, lol). Then all of a sudden, it gets spit out on her empty plate. <br />
<br />
Well...that was an epic fail! <br />

As moms, we always have to be thinking... So, I went to the kitchen, grabbed 9 mini M&M's for them to "practice" on. <br />
<br />
My oldest got to eat all 3 because he already succeeded!<br />
<br />
My little guy immediately ate one before I could even explain what was going to happen.<br />
<br />
My daughter waited and probably wondered how this was going to help her!<br />
<br />
"Ok guys, here's what you do...Jeremy, you get to enjoy yours since you already swallowed your vitamin. Anthony and Katelyn, here's the deal. You're going to practice with a mini M&M, put it in the back of your mouth and swallow it down. IF you can swallow that down the first time, then you get to EAT the remaining M&Ms that you have and you don't have to practice anymore!"<br />
<br />
Their eyes lit up with excitement at this point!<br />
<br />
Anthony: "Well I'll take on that challenge." M&M in the mouth, water down the hatch...and his finger in his mouth searching for the M&M that he surprisingly couldn't find!! "I DID IT!! IT'S GONE!!" So, we cut up a vitamin into thirds and gave it to Anthony and Katelyn. Anthony did the same thing as the M&M, and magically it disappeared!! BOOM...down the hatch!!<br />

"GREAT JOB Anthony!! You can NOW enjoy your 3rd M&M!!"<br />

"Katelyn, it's your turn!!"<br />

Well, not to be outdone by her younger brother, she knew she needed to do the same, but was very hesitant because of her previous attempt! Finally, she did it...one M&M down the hatch, followed by the vitamin and BOOM...she gets to enjoy 2 M&Ms!!<br />

So there you have it! An easy way to help your kiddos learn how to swallow pills and graduate from chewables to grown up pills!! I cleaned the yucky insides out and popped them in the freezer (learned to clean out the insides before freezing them...heed this advice if you choose to freeze whole chickens!!). I had to do some modifications to the original because I was making this last minute and thought I had all the spices...but improvised instead!<br />

1 tsp Cayenne Pepper <span style="font-size: x-small;">(My substitution was red pepper flakes about 1/3 tsp b/c I didn't have cayenne pepper!!)</span><br />
1 tsp Onion Powder <span style="font-size: x-small;">(my substitution was onion flakes...again b/c I didn't have the powder!)</span><br />
1 tsp Thyme<br />
1 tsp Pepper<br />
1 tsp Garlic Powder<br />
1 Whole Roasting Chicken<br />
1 Onion, sliced and broken in pieces<br />

So...like you learned above, this was a "last minute" throw together. I did not allow the chicken to soak in with the spices overnight, however you could do that to make the flavor deeper! <br />
<br />
I cut up the onions and broke them apart to line in the crockpot. Mixed together all the spices above and patted the chicken, bottom first an then top, covered it completely (and I used it all). Placed the chicken on top of the onions and set my crock pot on low for 4 hours. I'm sure you could leave it a bit longer if you'd like but you don't want to dry it out. <br />
<br />
After it's cooked, remove from crock pot and let it sit for a few minutes to cool some and allow the juices to soak into the chicken. Cut up the chicken as you like and it's ready to serve!<br />
<br />
You can easily serve this with brown rice or quinoa or potatoes along with some veggies. OR you could serve this in tortillas and turn it into more of a Mexican meal. Either way is absolutely delicious!! <br />

SUMMER is right around the corner! Yep...bathing suits, beaches, pools, shorts, tank tops... All of that!<br />

Well, I know sometimes it's easy to let winter go by and stay cuddled up because it's cold and a good excuse to allow the pounds to pack on! Not that it's something we set out to do...but it just happens!!<br />

If you're ready to get that winter layer off and feel confident for summer then NOW is your time to do that! Yes...I did say a 5 Minute Meal! And guess what?? It's pretty healthy too!! Now, just to be clear, this probably isn't my "go-to" for the 21 Day Fix meal plans (FOR SURE), simply because it would require too many yellow (carb) containers since the base of it is black bean soup. However, now that we are into soccer season and 3 kids with practice and a hubby who coaches one of them, our family dinners are not as easy to come by. So, I made this last night for a quick meal after practice and I had some leftovers that I picked from! So it all worked out. <br />

I will warn you...this is super delicious, but only makes enough for 4 good sized servings of soup!<br />

I didn't know what to expect, but I had heard it was really good! I started making it and wondered if it was going to turn out ok. My hubby even turned his nose up to this as I was making it and thought he'd have to go out and get a different dessert for the kids! However...it did NOT disappoint once we dug into it!!<br />

I will warn you, this is not your typical cake batter that you would expect. I did have concerns that it would cook up properly as I was going through, so just know there is going to be some separation when you're mixing the honey, butter and eggs...this was normal (at least in my preparation)...however it did turn out just fine!! <br />
<br />
I did have to add a considerable amount of time for cooking. It called for 25-30 minutes and I probably cooked it for closer to 40-45 minutes. It was still very moist and <b>absolutely delicious!</b> <br />

<i>Serves: 12 (one slice each) Prep Time: 20 min. Cooking Time: 30 Min</i><br />

<li>1 cup almond flour</li>
<li>1/2 cup coconut flour</li>
<li>2 tsp baking powder</li>
<li>1/4 tsp sea salt</li>
<li>3/4 cup unsalted organic grass-fed butter (divided use)</li>
<li>1 cup raw honey (or maple syrup) divided use</li>
<li>4 large eggs</li>
<li>1/4 cup + 3 tbsp. unsweetened almond milk, divided use</li>
<li>1 tsp pure vanilla extract</li>
<li>2/3 cup organic unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted</li>

<ol>
<li>Preheat oven to 350 degrees F</li>
<li>Coat a 9 inch round baking pan with spray. Set aside.</li>
<li>Combine almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl; mix well. Set aside.</li>
<li>Cream together 1/2 cup butter and 3/4 cup honey in a medium mixing bowl; beat on medium speed for 1 minute.</li>
<li>Add eggs one at a time; beat until blended.</li>
<li>Add 1/4 cup almond milk and extract; beat until blended.</li>
<li>Add almond flour mixture to butter mixture; beat until creamy. </li>
<li>Pour batter into prepared pan.</li>
<li>Bake 25 to 30 minutes (mine took closer to 40-45 minutes)</li>
<li>Whip remaining 1/4 cup butter in a medium bowl; beat on medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes, or until creamy.</li>
<li>Add remaining 3 tbsp almond milk to butter; beat until well blended.</li>
<li>Add cocoa powder; beat until well blended, scraping bowl occasionally.</li>
<li>Slowly add remaining 1/4 cup honey while beating on medium speed. Set aside.</li>
<li>Once cake is cool, evenly spread frosting; cut into 12 slices.</li>

My mom used to make White Chicken Chili all the time growing up but I forgot about it...so I dug out the recipe and decided to spice it up a bit!<br />

I had a whole chicken that I needed to use, and I love the homemade broth that it makes. So today, I boiled my whole chicken to make the broth to use for my chili (broth and chicken)...Deboned the chicken and strained the broth!! But...you don't have to use the chicken like this!<br />

<b>Ingredients: </b><br />

4 chicken breast (or whole chicken deboned...you can always add more if desire!)<br />
4-6 cups chicken broth<br />
1 onion chopped<br />
1-2 cloves garlic, minced<br />
2 cans Northern white beans<br />
1-2 cans diced green chiles (with juice)<br />
1 tsp cumin<br />
1 tsp dired oregano<br />
1 tsp chili powder<br />
1 tsp salt<br />
pepper to taste<br />
juice of 1/2 lime<br />
chopped fresh cilantro (either for garnish or an needed in chili...optional)<br />

<li>Cook chicken fully. I like to sauté onions and garlic before adding to chili. </li>
<li>Add all ingredients together, let simmer for at least 20 min or until hot. This is also a great crockpot recipe. Cook this up and let it cook on low for the day! </li>
<li>Top with fresh cilantro, cheese and avocado!</li>

Yes, I was driven to be successful, get good grades, do well and learn. But my major was vague, I didn’t have direction or know WHAT I wanted to do after college. Bottom line...I am LOVING this program! It seriously is my soulmate workout...for sure!! I've really developed a love for lifting weights and H&C gives a really great balance of moves during the workout so you don't feel like you're just sitting there pumping iron! <br />

Now, if you're one that is counting all your steps on your Fitbit and want those extra steps for your cardio workout, they won't add up with this workout on a regular basis, but that's ok, you're building muscle and MUSCLE BURNS FAT!!!<br />

I'm constantly sore, which, I actually love that feeling of being sore when I know it's because I'm getting stronger! I know my body takes a while to "react" to my workouts. I'm not one of those who starts a program and BOOM, I've got ripped abs and biceps the next day! (I don't think anyone is like that)...but, I know I'm getting stronger and some of the really hard moves that I modified in week 1 are getting easier!<br />

<b>Direction:</b><br />
<ol>
<li>Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.</li>
<li>Peel and core the apples ( I have an Apple, Peeler, Corer, Slicer from Pampered Chef that I used and it worked awesome!!). If you don't have one of those cool gadgets, then peel and core apple and slice in thin slices after cutting apple in half!</li>
<li>Coat the apples with the cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup and pour into a 9 x 9 dish.</li>
<li>In a medium bowl combine the oats, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and </li>
<li>salt together and stir. </li>
<li>Combine coconut oil and honey together and then add to the dry mixture. Make sure they are completely combined together. </li>
<li>Top the apple mixture with the crumb topping!</li>
<li>Bake at 350 degrees F for about 30-40 minutes or until topping is browned. </li>
</ol>

<li>I drink Shakeology every day because it helps give me natural energy. Do you know how awful that 2 o'clock slump is? Yep!! That used to be me everyday! Now...I don't get that energy crash in the afternoon!!</li>
<li>It keeps me full and satisfied for 3 or so hours until I'm ready for my next snack.</li>
